It took me a while to choose a good LMS, finally comparing Dokeos http://www.dokeos.com and aTutor http://www.atutor.ca, i choosed Dokeos.

As i would like to create a learning space for ModX, the suggestion would be to have a Dokeos integration module for ModX. By the way, Dokeos community is interested by integration with a CMS, so it may be the good time to have their help efforts and interestes into Modx. Furthermore, as MODx seems to dive into efforts around powerful CMF capabilities, i think this kind of area would be useful for the MODx community in order everyone can easier have a good level into the platform so more chances to communicate, collaborate and coordinate work with the others.

Hi Guizmo, nice to have you here on MODx’s forum I came accross your messages lots of good stuff there smiley Since you’re french too, did you visit the french subforum . Your expertise would be much appreciated there !

This would be truly cool to have a LMS integrated to MODx... Dokeos is nice, agreed and I would definitely like this as it would expand MODx in a direction that could make it a great solution for integrated publishing/learning platform for universities or business schools smiley

I’m glad you’ve found you LMS of choice. IMHO, Moodle is however superior, and the support and development very very dynamic. Have a look there: http://moodle.org/.

And as it seems you’re french, as maintainer of the french localisation, I can say that a lot of french people use it, see "Moodle en français" here: http://moodle.org/course/view.php?id=20

I prefer talking about "preferences or needs" instead of "what is superior or not" which needs debates, investigations, benchmarks and a whole study.

Letting others have a test and give their opinion is something also important, maybe all of you can have a first experience on http://www.opensourcecms.com, elearning branch section

Moodle is cool too, I know a project that has been built with Claroline in the University of Versailles. But yeah Moodle is considered the reference...

Different project mean different needs means different solution, on this I very much agree too smiley
