Typo3 has this direct repository to site installation. As I recall it even flags when a module has changed, so you can choose to update.

Yup. It’s there in the Revo Manager. A number of addons are available this way. You can browse the add-on repository, get the packages, and install them all inside the Manager. There’s an option to have a license screen, get user options, and view the readme.txt file during the install.

Remember that this is still an alpha release, though, so there may still be a few kinks to work out. In fact, we could definitely use some more testers.

thats sounds so hot. don’t know why I can’t install Revo alpha on my host. I almost gave up on alpha as I can’t install it so far. I’m going to try again tomorrow on a different box as this is something I have to see in my own eyes.
