I just downloaded the new version of revolution and it seems the components options has disappeared from the menu? Is this normally or have i failed to enable it during installation?

In the newer revs, it will show up automatically once it’s not empty (IOW, you install at least one component).

I am pretty new to this kind of thing, so how do i go about making my own module/component for revo then. I know that in evo you could just click on module, add new module, name it etc and away you go.
I wonder how people develope for modx in general, is it possible to get some level of intergration with IDEs like komodo for auto completion of costum modx functions, variables and etc.
I haven’t done anything like that in Revo yet (though I’m always thinking about it).
