I am the author of the Navigator snippet. I’d like to update it in the repository, but I seem to have lost control of it since the website was upgraded. Currently it says that the author is PMS, which is my forum username, but I can’t sign in to that part of the website with my forum username and password. Apparently, neither my forum username nor PMS are recognised as valid usernames. I do have a jira account, which I recently used to upload the YAMS - but my username for that is pms549. When I log in using my jira account details I am not given the ability to modify the Navigator snippet.

Please can someone help me get Navigator back under my control?

Also, since I am known as PMS in the forums, in an ideal world I would also change the username of my jira account to be PMS so that the name by which everyone knows me appears next to new repository contributions like YAMS (and any others I might upload in the future). Is it asking too much to request that it be changed? I logged into jira and has a look around the settings but it didn’t seem to be possible to change a username.

    Thank you.

PMS, unfortunately username change isnt possible in the JIRA. (oh i am surprised myself!)

See if u can create a new jira acc with PMS, and I will update the packages for you. If not, just post here and I will add pms549 into package administrator.

      Looking forward.

I have created a new account on Jira with username pms. (Had to be lower case.) If you could associate Navigator (package 314) and YAMS (package 543) with it, that would be great.

        Thanks zi

By the way, while I remember, here is some feedback on the website. Yesterday, I noticed that:

If you are on the main page for a package (ie: the page for YAMS) and you attempt to sign into the MODx website with an invalid username or password you just get a completely blank screen, rather than a friendly message saying that the username or password weren’t recognised.

If you are on the MODx home page) and you attempt to sign into the MODx website with an invalid username or password then you are redirected back to the home page - but with nothing to tell you that your attempt at logging in was unsuccessful. (Actually there is something. If you go to the menu and click the sign-in drop down arrow then there is a message there - hidden - but that’s not much use.) So, you might think that your log-in had been successful when in fact it hasn’t. This has caught me out before.

PMS: I’ve reassociated your Extras with the jira username "pms". That should fix things.

              Thanks a lot zi!

By the way, more strange things are happening with the website. I went to my Navigator snippet package page, logged in using my jia account, clicked on update package (just browsing - didn’t submit), and then I signed out. However, instead of getting signed out I ended up on the EditArea Plugin ’update package’ page, with editable fields and the apparent ability to submit an update to the EditArea plugin. That’s not one of my plug-ins, so something seriously wrong is happening there.

Oops. Yeah. Sorry splittingred! I confused you and zi as one and the same person, but that’s clearly not the case.
