HI I just discovered wappalizer, a Firefox extension that tells you the frameworks installed on the sites you’re surfing, then pings home to build global usage stats.

MODx is listed in these stats, but apparently this stems from older versions or default templates displaying the ’powered by MODx’ line; it does not see MODx on any of my sites for example.

There’s a discussion going on getsatisfaction ( http://bit.ly/Z32pZ ) about the best way to fix this (js var MODX_MEDIA_PATH ?), the developer is also on twitter: @ElbertF

We can probably get MODx some exposure by just visiting our own sites with the extension active once the monitoring is fixed...

There was another discussion about this a while back. http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,32101.0.html
