Forum colors and styling?

I know there was a rebuild of the MODx forum...

But have we lost the old colors and stying of the Forum presentation? It looks a little more generic now...

Yeah, what did happened with our pretty looking forum?

looked like we got hacked yesterday....

I think the old styled theme will come back soon, new one because of security forum upgrade.

i think if we have new logo, new colors and all wait of the "Revolution" than and the forum theme will be new. will see

I suppose we’ll find out soon enough. I was online when whatever happened happened and experienced it...one minute am reading a post the other minute.......I don’t want to pre-empt any official announcement so I will wait for an explanation. As an aside, I have never appreciated the value of twitter....and never joined it...well yesterday I wish I had a twitter account (and almost created one, ha!) just to get an update about what was happening. I checked the modx tweet and some of the senior members’ ones but couldn’t find more info....

well, for a short time the modx-forum got redirected to an obscure website...so i’m guessing we got hacked

Yep the MODx forum was hacked and redirecting to some other website.

I’m guessing there was a flaw with the version of the forum running, would be good to get more info on how the attack happened so that we can make sure our forums and customers forums are protected.

The forum was running on an old version of SMF (1.1.4 according to google cache). It’s now updated to 1.1.7 which is a security-only update from November.

Why doesn’t the MODx team remove the version number altogether? It’s not like most users care about what the version is (and leaving it there makes it easier for script kiddies to hack it).
