I´m curious to know what development web browsers are recommended for MODx. I have noticed that in some cases Firefox is superior whereas IE7 at times does not enable certain features. What are developers using?
When developing I use FF, because it is multi platform, and has some cool tools to help developing. Then I test it on other browsers. On the mac my options are basically FF, Opera and Safari, All three of these are mac/pc compatible but FF is the most widely used.
Would you say it almost a must with MODx due to limitations on IE7 ? I discontinued using Firefox last year because of all the errors I was experiencing and know seem to have to go back to FF .
I´m just wondering how I may have to have the end user edit using Firefox instead of IE7, do you advise the same to webusers?

I’m afraid that, unless your users are remarkably docile and tolerant, you’ll have to adjust your site so it will work in multiple browsers.

In one of my client’s office, the network guy ( a subcontractor) will not allowed other browsers installed. Everything internet is IE only!
That would make me have to figure out why QuickEdit is not working on a site I am staging using IE7. I cannot see the edit content buttons. They are in the source code but are not visible.

Sounds like either a javascript issue or a CSS issue. I know, that covers a lot of territory, but I don’t think it has anything to do with MODx per se.
Thanks guys. Yes it was a .js problem. I believe I had some conflicting scripts that have been simplified and all is well now.
