Since yesterday, I’ve gotten VBS/Psyme trojan warning when logging on to the forum. I don’t get it on any other web sites. I only get it in IE6.

Does it say exactly what’s triggering it?

I didn’t get it this time. The warning was from McAfee’s on access scan. I suspect a false positive in the browser cache. Here’s the on access scan log entry:

        12/15/2007 3:02:21 PM Deleted BOBRAY\Bob Ray iexplore.exe C:\Documents and Settings\Bob Ray\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\7UX11MZ0\index[1].htm VBS/Psyme (Trojan)

I’m pretty sure it’s a trojan that you can only get from downloading and executing a program so I don’t think it could have come from the MODx site and the only thing I recall downloadig and executing in the last few days was a RealPlayer update which seems like an unlikely candidate.

It prompted me to do a full virus scan with AVG which found another Trojan (Zlob.li) but not VBS/Psyme. I’ll do another full scan with McAffee when I quit for the night.
