I’ve done a search of the forums, but don’t see a simple way to allow users with the editor role to upload pdf’s.

How do I easily allow this without giving them complete admin access? I have one single page where my client will be uploading and adding forms from time to time. A simple list of forms. Nothing special. I can do what I need to with Admin access, but not with editor access.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Hmmm... No thoughts from anyone? It seems like this should be a no brainer. Client has a forms page. Needs to be able to upload and link to forms for their end-users. Easy to do as an admin, but no luck when logged in as editor or publisher.

      Anyone?

I guess I can just give them admin rights, but it seems a bit overkill for just linking and editing a bit of text. Plus it will give the client more of an opportunity to mess things up.

I too would like a solution to this.

Front end upload of pdf’s and word documents.

I am guessing that it could be done through TV’s.

I added ’pdf’ to the allowed img types (simply because there are times when I want certain photo product pdf’s stored in the image folder for some clients.

Tried my usual method with a new client’s site (logged in under their name -- they only have editor permission, no admin, template, or other chunk access

          See if this works:

on content page -- just type anything (eg: pdf)

highlight it, and select the ’link’ icon

from there, it gave me the full create folder, choose file, upload functions
