    Hi modx-team,

congratulations on the succesful Dallas modx-event. I hope it was succesful since I don’t seem to find anything about it!? Nothing on the blog, no announcments in the forum, just silence, not even static... I know you must be busy but perhaps there is some time for at least a little sign of life. Are there any PDFs, videos, etc.?

There are no news about Revo either. Last entry about RC1 at the 1st of April. How are things going with Revo? The roadmap shows some open topics. Is there a final in sight? Or is the RC1 already so stable that it can be used "in the field"?

Sorry if I sound a little pushy but I am realy keen on starting to work with Revo. Do you have any treat for me/us (the community)? We won’t play any tricks on you, promised! ;-)

Last unofficial word is that Revo RC2 is expected to be released on the 15th of June per IRC.

I have heard a little about the expo, but was not there. What I have seen mentioned, is that it was very worthwhile and informative. There is even a demand to have the next one in the UK!

I hope others might chime in and discuss their own personal experiences.

I was also wondering what is planned.

Here in Africa bandwith is slow so to give an example 1st video showed 20+ Hrs to download never mind cost.

The shorter(in Megs) ones are OK. Audio only would also be OK.

Would any of the presenters be doing write ups like Everett huh

          Any slide presentations huh

A lot of *us* are waiting with bated breath.

Thank you all for you replies.

@paul: Quite a heavy load of videos from you ;-). The MOVs don’t use progressive streaming (over http), right? One has to wait until the whole file is downloaded. I can offer you to convert the stuff to mp4 streams. allanb (reply #3) might get happy then.

@wshawn: "Released over IRC" or did you mean, that the they "Announced RC2 on an IRC channel" for the middle of June?

Hanswurst we haven’t screamed from the rooftops but there is a bit of stuff over at http://modxpo.modxcms.com/ (hopefully I will get the session vids linkd w/ the sessions there as a repository and maybe with the slides too) there is AMDBuilder’s site has all the video sessions including Ryan (rthrash) Thrash’s opening welcome and "State of MODx" posts. (link on that page and Greg Smart posted this: http://www.gregorysmart.com/2010/05/14/modxpo-and-revolution/ and Devtrench posted this: http://www.devtrench.com/modxpo-2010/

The MODx team has a lot to say but we have some incredible news coming up about MODx, Revolution and more. I did start a separate Events Section for the Forum here: http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/board,386.0.html

Thanks for asking and if you have specific questions about what went on at MODxpo please don’t hesitate to ask. We will hopefully be able to round up some of the team’s thoughts in the next week or so.

Putting on a conference is one of the most rewarding and exhausting things we’ve done. We shared a lot at MODxpo, and the really killer conversations took place off camera so to speak. If you get a chance next time ... go!

There’s a tremendous amount of news and much more consistent communication coming over the next few weeks. We’ll flesh out the MODxpo content summaries and post up slides where we can. More soon ... wink

                    Thanks Ryan.

Wish I could afford to come.

Maybe you could use Cape Town SA lots of conferences here, it’s a relatively cheap destination. grin

                    Great place wink
