How do you teach clients to set up a new folder on their site? Or do you have a way around it?

It’s a difficult thing because most don’t do it very often. Is there a way to automate it?

What do you mean by "folder"? A container resource in the Tree, or a directory on the file system?

If a container in the file system, if the permissions allow it, the easiest way is to have them use the File Manager. If not, they need to either use their control panel (CPanel?) file manager or an FTP client. In either case, I write a step-by-step tutorial; this can be made into a Help tab using the assets/templates/help directory and making it an HTML page using screenshots or even a video. I often have common tasks explained there, and add a "Help" icon and link to the Manager’s Welcome page.

Susan, sorry for the confusion. I mean a container resource with the proper Ditto call to pull its contents.

Well, there again I would have a step-by-step tutorial with screenshots or a video in the Help.

If you really want to make it easy for the client, use PubKitBlog (or any of the other front-end resource management snippets) for creating the new resource using a given template, and create a new link in the QuickManager menu to a blog admin page for using it. Have their manager user go to that blog admin page on logging in to the Manager, and configure QM’s menu as appropriate. The blog admin page could even be tabbed, with a Help tab describing how to do things.
