It’s a cultural thing, I think. Besides, I was wrong. GNU General Public License is not redundant.

No it’s not redundant... There are so many opensource license the only guys benefiting from it will be lawyers sad

      See WikiPedia
and the Too Many Open Source Licenses article @LinuxWorld

OSI has urged to reform opensource licenses (VNUNet article). I have doubts they can manage to do it, it will take time.

It’s bazaar alright, but not in the sense of the original metaphor tongue

I don’t understand why they don’t give developpers permission to make the updates themselves... it would be far simpler !

I believe that’s to avoid the possible problem of developer who tends to exagerate the function that they build. Well, I’m not 100% agree to this, because this is an open comunity, which trust is the most important thing in here. So if they can’t trut us, why should we trust them?

But still though, hey did a really good job in rating the CMS out there.

                Hi,

Twas me that listed it  wink [I’ll have to dig out the password to update!]

In anticipation of the new name coming soon...

When will we be converting to the new name?  This is also relevant to another thread re commercial sites gallery.  I’d like to get a domain going for this under the new name, unless the core team want the gallery on this site.

                Cheers

                  Hi Richard,

I think I’d prefer to have the gallery on the project site. We can start building now if you’d like. smiley

Great! I’d prefer it on the site too. Build-away  grin

Shall I do a draft "criteria" document - ie. how submissions will be judged?

Hi,Twas me that listed it wink [I’ll have to dig out the password to update!]

Yeah if you could dig this one that would help.

As part of the marketing team now I am trying to get things organized for this kind of updating & maintaining. We could work together to make sure things are up to date, some errors have been reported and need fixing. If you could mail/PM me Login and Password so that we can centralize that. Multiple editors wouldn’t be a bad thing, as long as we know who is doing it smiley

I’ll be making an inventory of places where MODx is listed, store account information for updating&maintaining those in a safe and centralized place, and organize update cycles.
