no, it doesn’t. For video, there aren’t as many free options for mac as there are for Windows. The ones that come to mind at the moment are Jing and Screencast-o-Matic (which is an online app). I think there’s a limit on the length though, not too sure since I’ve never used them

Another option is Copernicus (http://danicsoft.com/software/copernicus/) but it doesn’t capture audio as far as I know.

iShowU HD isn’t free but at $29.95USD I think it’s worth the price.

Any recommendations for windows.

I basically need to capture a video stream + audio. The video plays in browser via flash player

ScreenFlow is the best, IMO, but it costs money. (Not too much though.)

For Windows I use Camstudio - http://camstudio.org/. It’s free and works great for me. The screencasts on my blog to date have been recorded using it, although now that I primarily use a mac I’m playing with iShowU.

I don’t remember if you can convert directly to flash on camstudio, I never tried since I simply upload to Vimeo and let their software do the work. But I think there are utilities out there to do the conversion. Hope this helps.

I ended up using ScreenFlow. Really good software.
