PSD to HTML companies

Hi,

Just wondered what people experiences are with these type of companies. I’ve used a couple of different companies with mixed results.

I’ve used rapid xhtml on a few occasions and the code hasn’t been to bad, not perfect but workable and only a few tweaks needed. But i now can’t seem to upload any projects and get no response when contacting them, I’m also now reading a few reports of users reporting the company as a scam and having money taken so put of using them again as it now seems they request money up front

I’m now trying to find a replacement, i’ve used another company where they code wasn’t great. So was wondering if anyone had some good experiences.

Ideally I code the pages myself, but after actually getting some usable code back for not a lot of money (once converted in £s) I’d like to find another company that can supply decent code, doesn’t need to be perfect but as long as only a few tweaks are needed.

We use thechoppr.com. The code is great. Sometimes we have to make mods, like adding ditto classes to already existing css that styles blogs or what have you, and some extensions like Maxigallery require appending some code but overall a very solid codebase and excellent CSS. We’ve sent some frankly difficult designs that I was skeptical could be done cleanly and I was wrong.

Thanks rx2 for the info, the mods you mention are the sort of things you’d expect so I’ll defo give these guys a try. I’m going to try out a few companies with some of the more basic pages I have. I’ll report back my findings.
