Long ago, before a contaminated batch sickened a bunch of people and the FDA banned it completely, I started taking Tryptophane. My husband was a night-worker, and was finding it helpful in sleeping during the day. I noticed a very slight dull headache for a few days, then after a couple of weeks all of a sudden I could remember people’s names, phone numbers and other minor stuff like that. Then it got banned, and ever since I’m back to being very fuzzy with numbers, names and the like, as well as an even stronger tendency to dyslexia. I can’t add three numbers in my head, because by the time I’ve mentally added the first two I’ve forgotten what the third one was. I still have to check on the parameter names for the most common MODx snippets, because I can never remember them. Thank goodness for computers!
A tablespoon of blackstrap (unsulphered) molasses every morning makes a noticeable difference; it even had quite an effect on my kids with a lot more running around and playing and a lot less whining and squabbling.
Other than that, sleep, exercise, at least two liters of water a day, and less meat definitely makes a difference. Except during the spring allergy season. Then all bets are off!
