Agreed, and why they created the hall of fame awards so that Joomla and Drupal won’t win the "other main" award again this year. They have massive user bases.

I wouldnt expect Joomla to be winning any awards

It’s an odd way to determine the ’best’ OS CMS anyway. I mean, if I was to hand out such awards, I would only use the community to gather candidates. The rest would be done by experts. There are many things that 99% of the voting users don’t know anything or much about, how could they tell which CMS/CMF is the best.

The Packt Awards are handled this way, actually. The final award is decided by a panel of judges and community votes. The nominations are solely based on community participation.

I see, didn’t know that tbh. But they still got the community votes counted in.
Anyway, not that I mind too much, their awards, their choice of procedure.
