I figured some people could benefit from this site, so I decided to link to it here.
Gizmo’s Freeware
I’ve found this to be a great site with tons of reviews on the best freeware available for a large number of different categories. It’s all based on volunteer editors (who write and maintain the categories) under a volunteer staff, so there’s no biased advertising of software or anything like that. I’ve found it to be really helpful when I need a program to do something.
A few weeks ago, I decided I’d like to be a part of it, so I volunteered to take over the
Best Free CD / DVD Burner Software category. I just did a complete rewrite of the article (from the previous editor’s writing) today, so if you’re interested, feel free to take a look!
There’s a lot of good information on the site, so be sure to check it out. I should note that only Windows software is covered by the site, at least right now.
