Through the help of some people on the forum, I created a custom snippet that uses a "tag" to represent HTML.

In my website, I have, let’s say, a table that has data for an enemy in one of the games. I use the TV-as-chunks (somewhere on the Wiki) technique to output chunks via a checkbox-TV system. Now, I would have to copy/paste this into each chunk, and I would have to run a MySQL command to update them.

But using that snippet, I have a two-line tag that outputs. It would be something like this...

    [[monster? &name=`Test Name` &hp=`OVER NINE THOUSAND!`]]

    (Sorry I couldn’t resist. tongue)

Do you guys think making a tutorial showing how to start this from start to finish would be a good idea? I think this might be able to help a lot of people using MODx. I would make this a snippet, but it’s more of a universal application, since it can be tailored to the user’s needs...

I think that any literature on usage examples are a good idea. If you write it the readers will come wink
