There’s some Tales forums that I belong to. Currently, things have been somewhat of a one-man show (i.e., myself). I have a page for open positions, but I dunno how to go about "announcing" the elsewhere on the web.

Anyone else been in this position, and has any pointers?

I don’t know about Tales communities, but in general there is a board on forums specific for this purpose. Something like a job board. I would look around the forums that you visit and see if they have a specific place for these offers.

One good idea is to add a link to your application page in your signatures on the forums you participate in, this is a non intrusive way to get the word out if they do not have a job board.

Like a "Staff Positions Open - Apply Today!", as a quick example?

That could work. Maybe style it a bit like make it bold and give it a color to stand out a bit.
