After extensive judging of over 2 thousand entries, the Apple Interface Design Group unanimously voted on the winner of the "Design a new logo for Apple" design contest. It turns out that the design was entered accidentally by the infants mother, a well known and highly acclaimed graphic designer, who included the drawing while she was entering her own designs to the contest. The crayon drawing was considered to be the most creative, loose handed, rendition of an apple with a wiggly worm emerging from the center and captured the imagination of the entire Apple design team. Once the error was discovered the judges tried to revert their decision believing that the companies credibility could be damaged, however by this time the wining design had already been approved by the board of directors and plans had been put in motion to systematically replace the existing logo. Therefore in the weeks to come you can expect a new look for Apple products, say goodbye to the clean elegant look of the Apple logo that we love so much and welcome the a new era of the crayon scribbled logo. Is this a sigh of the direction they are going with their new products? Or does this story have to do with todays date.
