Windows whiz-bang ...er fizzle

I had a good laugh today. In this little town there is one "supermarket", a rather small one but part of a large chain. They just switched their old POS system to a brand-new, shiny Windows-based system with touch screens and the whole nine yards. Today I noticed the clerk (there is usually only one or two checkout lanes open, that’s how small this place is) poking at her touch screen, grimacing, and grabbing a pen to jab at the screen before it would work.

The funny part is that they’ve only been using the new system for a week.

Sounds to me like some great salesmen have stuck it to another business, selling them what is likely a very shoddy, overpriced POS system with talk of how it will make everything better! Ha!

That or she had really dirty fingers.
