mysql search replace (after migration plesk 7.5 to plesk 8.2)

We migrated from one server to another and now plesk had a great idea to use var/www instead of the home/httpd in plesk 8.2

now i need a tool or script that lets me search and replace all the home/httpd and replace them with var/www
I have 289 domains running wih at least 100 hostings and about 70 of them use modx.
I have root acces, all I need is a way to do a server wide search and replace, or I an bount to do it all by hand and that will take me day’s to do

i tryed one by hand today (modx095) and got blank screens pars errors etc no fun. i go from p[hp 4.3.2 to php 5.1.6-3.el4s1.7 and mysql 5.0 instead of 4.10

any help would be apriciated

I’m not understanding how the change of the document root location on the web server would affect any of the sites. Can you explain where it is you are having to search and replace these paths? Nothing on MODx (other than for add-ons like the RTE configuration, or the file browser path, which should not affect the site at all) is dependent on hardcoded file paths (or URL’s for that matter, unless you don’t use relative URLs).

mm in the settings i see 2 places that needs root locations:

File Manager Path and
Resource path

some snippets use this I think

and should the older modxversions work on php 5?

smf forums also use system paths for themes.
