I have a little problem
On average I take about 35 8mp pictures a day. Photobucket was fine, but I have quickly overloaded 2 free accounts (mine and my wifes) and a pro account. I asked my wife why she uploads almost every picture we take, turns out she just wants them handy. So I already have a server up, almost 2tb of storage and a decent upload. I started looking for open source alternatives and found g2 and some flickr clones ( Don’t want a flickr clone! and g2 seems to be really intensive).
Is there anything else out there that looks decent? I only need a single login, subfolders, date from exif, and easy direct link, making the folder non-public but allowing direct links would be super as well. I don’t need multiple levels of auto resizing, comments or any fancy stuff. The server is a dual Xeon 1.7 and the storage is on a 1gb NFS share. For some reason last time I tried g2 it was choking horribly and other than that I really didn’t like it. I think I tried it with imagemagick and gd, not much difference.
