Wayfinder Accordion > IE + effects.js

i tried adding a wayfinder accordion type menu exactly as described on
http://wiki.modxcms.com/index.php/Accordion_menu_with_Wayfinder_using_JQuery.

on FF works perfectly, but on IE8 shows following error:

yep.
i always create a blank template to check/mod/fix the output as i need it.
although there is no html/body tag, it should work.

ive added the tags so you can check for yous self it makes no difference.

im preaty sure its a js issue.
btw, thnks for replying.
