Project management and time tracking .... What do you use?

I’m using EssentialPim, a light software to manage calendar, contacts and notes. Pretty simple... as I like

My first impression of this was quite positive, but then I (like you) missed the functionality to allow me to time a project or parts thereof.

I’m currently checking out ClockingIT which seems quite promising. It’s a web based app.

This is becoming a Holy Grail type campaign...similar to when I was looking for a good CMS...after a while of searching I stumbled across ModX, and hopefully this crusade will be as successful ;-)

Well, maybe that’s convenient for you.
As for me, I prefer to sign up for software, rather than buy the license and install it on my computer. It gives me more flexibility and fewer headaches in maintaining the tool. Updates are very frequent and again less painful. Using Wrike I actually pay less money and their support is much more responsive as they care for me to continue paying for the tool.

You can time tasks, each task can belong to a category... then you can see all tasks of a project (=category).
But, you’re right, the total of time spent on a projet isn’t displayed, and you have to count yourself the total of time. Hope this changes

@Perrine : is Wrike available with a french interface too ?

Don’t know, I don’t use it I only have EssentialPim.

I don’t know for sure, cause I never needed French I read a couple of months ago that they were going to make Wrike’s interface in several languages including French, German and Italian. I think they should have all the info on this at www.wrike.com
