For those who have never heard of it,
Connector is a web based service from Joyent which was awarded the "Best Office 2.0 suite" at the
Office 2.0 conference. Some Textpattern users might remember that Dean Allen, Textpattern’s creator is among the Joyent CEOs.
Anyway, I was happily surprised to learn that Connector was
about to be open sourced ! Now, the fact that it’s Rails powered might make things not so easy to handle but hey, there so few web based collaborative platform which are any good that it’s something to be noted !
(If anyone knows an PHP/MySQL based lightweight collaborative platform, I am all ears !!! ActiveCollab is a bit too much project oriented... and there aren’t any alternatives
except big fat ugly apps or barren un-attractive ones in that department).
