I use FeedX to bring blog posting titles and links into our home page. And I use Ditto to produce our outgoing RSS feed.

The Ditto product does not currently show the updates in the imported blog titles. How can I convince it to do so?

I dont understand exactly what you have in place, but I would like to know if you are using cached or un-cached calls. eg. [[Ditto?...]] or [!Ditto?...!]

        Hi, thanks for the response.

Client runs a WordPress blog and we show the titles and links for the blog posts on the web site home page, using the following code:

        [!FeedX? &url=`http://www.xxx.org/blog/feed/` &maxElements=`ITEM(5)` &preset=`rss` &cacheTime=`3600`!]

The site also uses Ditto to produce its own outgoing RSS feed, as follows:

        [[Ditto? &parents=`0` &format=`rss` &display=`10` &total=`10` &showInMenuOnly=`1` &depth=`0` &removeChunk=`Comments` &filter=`id,77,2` ]]

If the Feedx content is on a page that Ditto then summarizes you could try the caching the other way round.
          [[FeedX? &url=`http://www.xxx.org/blog/feed/` &maxElements=`ITEM(5)` &preset=`rss` &cacheTime=`3600`]]
          [!Ditto? &parents=`0` &format=`rss` &display=`10` &total=`10` &showInMenuOnly=`1` &depth=`0` &removeChunk=`Comments` &filter=`id,77,2` !]

That way the Feedx content is parsed before Ditto gets to work.

            No joy with those changes.

In swapping the 1-bracket vs. 2-bracket entries, both Ditto and FeedX independently failed.

Any other things I can try?

If I understand correctly, you are displaying your wordpress rss on a single page inside MODx. While outgoing rss using Ditto, you need multiple resources/pages in place. Since Feedx is *just* displaying the rss on the page, it does not actually create documents. So, Ditto cannot see/process Feedx output same as normal page/containers.

In short, without some custom coding you cannot have Feedx output injected inside outgoing Ditto based feed.

              Hope this helps.

I wondered if Ditto would use the site cache, seems as though the answer is no.
