hi peepz laugh

I have just a few questions to you, hope you can help me with that, I am sure it helps others aswell!

I’ve a client who is Model for CK and needs a good backend, the cms doesn’t need to be an enterprise one.
So I thought about MODx or Wordpress.

There are different cms systems out there for any purpose.
The question is, what to use for which business?

Personal Websites: ?
Small Business: ?
Mid Business: ?
Big Business: ?
Large Enterprise Business: ?

Is MODx Large Enterprise ready?

thanks in advance!

You’ll see large enterprise capabilities starting to surface in the upcoming 097 public preview.

Enterprises usually need:
• Groupware functionality
• Portal functionality
• Modularity
• Quality Assurance
• Enhanced Rights Management
• Offline/Internal WAN/LAN functionality
• High-Security and maximum protection
• High-Stability on maximum loads
• Backupmanagement system
• Scalability
there are many other functionalies, I actually don’t remember...but u know.
...
...
the reds are the most important criteria for enterprises, cuz they have set up solutions for the other functionalies in most cases.

I think you know why Enterprises use J2EE services and tomcat ie. for very largy scaled projects. rather than using "usual" cms.
But things are changin and MODx is growing and growing! J2EE offers proven stability. PHP has to attend it’s position in times of JSP and ASP.

I would support this project with money, if I had the money =).
