    Hey,

I have modx running a heap of sites but I have this one site in which tinyMCE image up-loader doesn’t work?

I have checked all of the folder permissions, and the tools-configuration-interface pathways, and its all the same as my other sites.

I even tried a few tutorials where I edited the manager/media/browser/mcpuk files to point directly but it doesn’t work either.

But the file manager within modx works?

    Pls help!

      what version of MODx?

Usually uploading problems that I’ve had came down to setting the site path and upload path correctly in the manager. 1.0.3 has a nice way to reset these settings.

i remember having exactly the same issue on 0.9.6.3 and on 1.0.0 and realized it was a bit tricky for me.

ive got a multidomain dreamhost accoun the url goes like this when configurating the manager.

          "/home/(providers-name)/(domain)/assets/"

          were..

providers-name: is my account (master for all my domains added).
domain: the root folder on host for the domain (in my case with the .com, .net, .whatever).

maybe its something similar on your case.
you could also try making a paralel modx installation undes a /mdx2/ folder, try it if it works and if it does, check the settings and copy them to you main modx.

          good luck.

When I had this problem (not too long ago) What I think I was running into was a permissions problem. All of my paths were correct, but I wasn’t able to do much of anything.

I stumbled across this in the wiki that was a big help making sure I had all my ducks in a row.

            Hope this helps

Thanks guys but still no luck.
I just re-installed it and re-set all the permissions.

I think it has to be the path, how do I check the path is correct in modx, maybe in Cpanel?
In the modx phpinfo area it seams to have the same path.

Has anyone else installed MODx successfully on this host?

Can you elaborate on where exactly things are failing?

                  Yes, for security reasons alone.

                      Hi all,

I have the same probleme... but I have fresh install of modx 1.0.3 on hostpapa.
my base path is : /home/(my_account)/public_html/FOLDER/modx/
everything works great execpt the upload images with tinyMCE, can’t even see the images already in folder, look’s like it’s listing some other folder but where is that folder that I don’t know.

any new ideas about how to fix this problem?

I’ve tried everything listed here and a lot’s more, still nothing works... Would have tried changing the base path but don’t know where to look for it.
