I am not a great fan of FrontPage, DreamWeaver et. al. but I must say I am really, really impressed with this. Windows users, eat your hearts out, it’s a Mac product!

I threw together a "contact me" form from the default template, it came with javascript and backend validation... it generated a very nice validating page in PHP. Except for some warnings for undefined variables, it works beautifully. Has an "export" feature to export the files locally, and a "publish" button to export via FTP.

And it’s only $40! The demo mode is fully functional, but only allows three pages to a "site".

What it seems good for to me is for rapidly developing a page, then pulling it apart to load into MODx. The template system is shockingly similar to MODx. Just choose your template, grab the template’s html file and load it into a MODx template, swapping out the RapidWeaver %...% tags for the various MODx tags. Then export the page, pull out the blocks of content you want, and stick them in chunks or snippets (yes, it does generate php code) or TVs as desired. All the CSS and JS files you’ll need are also right there.

What brought it to my attention is that it will automatically generate an accordian block using Moofx. Now that’s pretty slick!

And it generates its menus as unordered lists, styled with css. So choose your template, or build your own, then simply replace the generated menu with Wayfinder or DropMenu snippet tags.
