What I don't like about PHP

Could this also be implemented insite modx? I am using the webuser funktion where I use the date of bith,
maybe its better to use a diff aproche to the date funktion in modx?

The adodbdate library is already a part of xPDO (and thus will be part of 0.9.7). However, date of birth should really be stored as a datetime in the database, or even the extra functions aren’t going to help much with dates before 1970 as negative timestamps are still problematic on many older PHP configurations.

Timestamps were never intended to be date storage elements. They were meant to be exactly what they are called, timestamps. The UNIX timestamp was intended to mark when a file was created, or accessed last. Your computer is not going to be creating any files, nor accessing them, before 1970, so it was a very logical, simple way of handling that particular requirement.

I know that it was not ment to be used in this way but MODx is using it in the core files in the webuser and manageruser atributes. that needs to be chaged then the calendar gives the right date (altho it would be a good option to have the input field editabele by hand next to the caledar) so why not place this date srait into the database? jus a field like name etc. now modx trys to calcualte a unix time stamp and puts this in the database.
