But the synchonisation of users accounts bugg
SMF and gallery too

If you’re looking for a desktop backend for MODx and you have a Mac, check out Command-Control by ScottyDelicious.

I have heard good things about CityDesk: http://www.fogcreek.com/CityDesk/

Not really a CMS but close enough. But personally I would never recommend CMS with desktop client only.
