New PHP framework in the works

Interesting. Very interesting.

Not the prettiest web site I’ve seen - very 80’s, 20 errors on the main page - I usally stop at the errors, a couple are ok, but 20’s too many to bother looking at the rest of the site. It suggests a couple of things that are a turn-off for me... lack of attention to detail, tardiness, perhaps worse - like, they don’t know how to markup a document correctly *shudder*

I love the defensive stance out of the gate with a page called Answering Our Critics, at the end of which he describes that "...but one thing I definitely know I’m good at is Web design, and by extension, Web site architecture." And after considering that the markup of the page doesn’t validate, I’d be really curious to know how that extends into the architecture (though I’d hope there would be no correlation).

At the same time, I see myself as about to go through some of the same criticisms in regards to presenting MODx 1.0 as both a content management and rapid application development framework, so there is definitely some applicable lessons embodied in the WillowGarden site. Plus, I love to review frameworks, so I’ll try and look under the hood and give you my comments on the code itself when I get a chance.

Ah, yes. I didn’t mean the framework itself was interesting, I didn’t even look into it (no PHP 5 here) but the whole approach and attitude was very interesting.

He’s a sitepoint person... "Jared White" It’s always fun to read people’s past posts... back in Oct 2005 he was waving the Zend Framework flag around, I wonder why he had such a fast change of heart - perhaps he’s jumping on the buzz - ’just another application framework’ ... yeah right, like the markets completely saturated with them!

I’m gonna take a guess at what’s under the hood... if anything I’d be surprised since the amount of time he must have spent writing about himself would surely leave little time for anything else - oh, and in between making music *lol* .. and thanking his parents for being born, anyone found that sandwich it fell out of my basket :):):)
