modexpo - Smarty, h2o, managing via Git, etc. ?

Hi,

I saw the "Smarty, h2o, managing via Git, etc." in the modexpo schedule.

I know what Smarty is but don’t know what h2o has to do with modx. Anyone can point me in the right direction?

Also, how would Git be used for modx? Should I start posting my modx code on Github?

Well, since you brought it up, we are going to transition to git (and likely GitHub) for core development in the very near future, so I would hold off on that just yet. But soon, yes.

FWIW, I am also working on methods for managing/deploying/upgrading MODx sites using git, though these will not be part of the presentation, as this is not my presentation being described here...
