Hey Guys,
I have used modx quite a lot and love it!
I just installed it on a new site and I have two problems.
The first is that tinyMCE wont allow me to upload images or media.
Yes, I have tried folder permission, I have even tried a few different tutorials on modifying manager files but nothing works.
The second problem is when I make a container page and then a child page the link goes to /gallery/index.php?7.html instead of just /index.php?7.html, and if I type both addresses into the url then the browser window says that the page doesn’t exist?
Thanks
Double check the paths. In the manager go to Tools int eh main menu and then select Configuration ont he sub menu. In the configuration page select the Interface & Features tab and check the Resource path. On the latest release, 1.0.3, the recommended path should be displayed above the field.
To get the paths to show up like you want you need to setup SEO friendly URLs and select the Use Friendly Alias Path option. Otherwise the parent/container doc will not show up un the URL. Note that if you do use the friendly alias path that you need to have the <base> tag set in the html <head> section, before the css and javascript tags. Otherwise the files will not be located.
Hope this helps.
Thanks but I have tried most of that.
I did tho change the ’Use Friendly Alias Path’ to ’no’ and it fixed my child/container page issue.
I think I have the wrong path for TinyMCE,as if I use the file manager I can browse folders and files fine.
Here is what I have at the moment, how do I find out the correct paths?
File base path: /home/(username)/public_html/assets/
File Browser URL: assets/
This is the same for a lot of my modx websites, but this one is different somehow?
Thanks
