Video demonstration Software

I have been looking into those applications that allow you to build a video demonstration of a software. So far I have come accross MacroMedia Captivate and TechSmith Camstasia.

Would be nice to do some MODx video training for my clients...

Does anyone have experience with one of those ?
Are there some alternatives ?

I have personal experience with Camtasia Studio. I used it here and here.

I find it very useful... especially the new version that has Picture-in-Picture.

I know of a few. The only one I’ve acutally used is wink. Wink is pretty nice, there’s definitely room for improvement but I have no way of knowing how it stacks up with the others since I’ve never used them.

Thanks Adam, I’ll try wink, since it’s freeware I could end up using this one... 300$ for Camstasia is a bit expensive for me right now...

I’ve used Wink and it seems to work just fine. Nothing super fancy schmancy but it gets the job done for nada.
