I guess not all community are as nice as MODx. Phew, lucky I never release any ground-breaking articles.
Anyway, it’s a good move though, it’s just minority of people who doesn’t care about whatever Ryan trying to do. As long are able to get MODx to the world, then the word of mouth soon will take in place.

Having discovered "ThrashBox" a few years ago, and being mightily impressed with Ryan’s css skills, I have to say that his name is one thing that caught my attention when looking for a CMS last year, when MODx was still a patch for Etomite. I was contemplating making a front-end login snippet for Etomite’s basic user management system when the MODx patch caught my eye. Ryan’s participation made it pretty much a lock at that point.

And maybe that’s why it’s taking me over two hours to catch up on the posts every morning! Of course, that inlcudes all the Google work and opening source code and what-not for research, so it’s not all that bad I suppose.

Wow... yesterday turned out to be busy indeed. Adding in the forum traffic plus the main site and we had almost 94,000 page views and 2.55GB of non-spider traffic as it turns out... That’s more on that day than we used to get in a month just a few short months ago (pre-Oct ’05)!

I am not surprised, and I think its just the beginning. More sites and publications will want to talk about Modx this year, raising the awareness further.
Word is speading out there just how seriously good Modx is (once you get to grips with it). It’s a web designers/developers dream like no other FREE CMS out there in my opinion, yes really.
Don’t care personally about those people who have nothing positive to say, they probably never take the time to learn the product enough to be objective but always seem to have the time to post some comment somewhere, as if they are some sort of authority !
Ryan I hope your servers are ready !
I agree with you edge, the more I work with MODx the less I see the need for another tool... and I am not the kind of person to think one tool can fit it all, but MODx is really amazing in this regard : it fits your needs rather than you fitting its logic...
