There is also a relatively good Flash player called Wimpy which I have used (for 1700 songs). I know isn’t AJAX but may be of interest. Listners don’t need to nstall anything or need a 3rd party music program, just a browser that supports Flash.

[EDIT: just looked at MP3act, looks good, love the AudioScrobbler support. Pity it won’t run (reliably) in a Win32 environment requires Linux, BSD, or OS X Operating System.]
