Funny thing... message count down

After doing some message moving with the creation of the new french board, I just noticed my post number had gone from a little over 500 to 430...

Strange uh ?
I don’t care that much, only I like to be able to find the messages I posted, some information is sometimes useful there... any explanation ?

Moved topics should not kill post counts.

My post count has not gone up with the move either, I think it was @499 this morning before the move... it did not go up then down by the same number (was that the hint ?).

Zi, you seem to understand what went wrong... care to enlighten me ?

When we move topics, SMF automatically inserts the new redirection topic in place under name of "mover". So, that redirection topic increases topic count by one, but when we remove topic or post, it decrease the topic/post count by one.

I am sure I never deleted another topic instead of "MOVED Redirects", but I am looking in bin if I can found something there...

Don’t, I must have misread my post count this morning, it must be what has happened there. The funny thing is that my average has dropped from 8,something to 6,something /day...

Never mind, no big deal...

Just gone through all 5 pages of recently deleted topics.

@Ryan, Will you please look in admin panel,

Forum maintainence -> Recount all forum totals and statistics.

after it run: Optimize all tables to improve performance.

OR all the options will be in-front of you, choose either all or above 2 to optimize.

I hope this should fix the problem.
