Well..after about a week or so on DreamHost, I pretty much have decided that they’re just too unstable and wily for my taste. Within just one week, I’ve had quite a few instances where e-mail would go down in 10-15 minute increments...even had a few instances where the e-mail server went down for almost 2 hours! Plus, there were plenty of times when the control panel was extremely slow and sluggish along with a few days where the control panel appeared to go down in 10-15 minute increments. That’s funny cause if you can’t get into the control panel it’s a little hard to log a support request. Heh heh! At any rate, I just had enough after just a week. I feel like they’re not reliable enough to ensure, for the most part, that I receive my e-mail.
So, after more deliberation, I decided to go with Site5.com. So far, so good! Only real complaints I have is that changes to PHP parameters can’t be done via htaccess files. Instead, you have to add a custom php.ini file to the directories where you need the changes at. It’s a little unruly...but not too bad once you get used to it. Only other thing is the fact that you have to have a separate login for each domain you create. These are relatively small complaints if the service is reliable enough. Guess I’ll wait and see how their service holds up!

Well, maybe I never extensively using my hosting for the whole week, that’s why I never have problem with them. I think it’s time for me to check on them, whether they did a great job at making sure my site up every day or not.
