for once, the hype on the page is not exaggerated! I merely skimmed the available features, and I can already affirm that within hours I will be unable to function without it.

I use this alot to tweak css the only problem is that it does not work on IE hehe
When css looks great in FF i still need to change it to also look nice in IE
Well, since I’m on a Mac, IE has to be a finishing tweak for me in any case. I don’t know what I’m going to do with IE 7; I’m using an old win98 with IE 6 for development, and I really don’t feel like shelling out $200 or so for XP just to test my web page layout on IE!

Yep, use the web developer plugin for FIreFox.
As for IE7 I bet that $200 isn’t going to be enough. Talk is that Vista is going to need new hardware and what not.

Well, hopefully soon WINE will report itself as XP and will be able to access the downloads. I do need a new Windows cheapclone PC; the one I have now has a really flaky motherboard.
On the other hand, I’d rather spend the money on a nice new 20" iMac. That would be much better for using the Firefox developer’s toolbar than my current 15" monitor (with an adapter for the Mac)! Although that still won’t solve the issue of IE layout and styling compatibility. But then, if I can afford that, I imagine I’ll be able to spring for a new PC with whatever flavor-of-the-decade OS Microsoft is pushing by then.
