Connecticut has some awesome pizza, there was one Greek restaurant we used to drive half an hour to get to for their pizza. And some of you may recall the movie Mystic Pizza; that place was also about half an hour from where I lived. Pizza here is ...well... not so great. One thing; no pepperoni. Meat and cheese together isn’t kosher. If I ever get a real stove with an oven again, I’ll make my own. Been a long time, but I still remember how. My kids and I used to bake real Italian bread, and as soon as it came out of the oven slice it lengthwise and make pizza with it, using the sauce we’d had simmering while the bread was rising and baking.
(did you mean "menage a trois"?
)
Speaking of pizza, I actually tried a new approach to pizza this past fourth of July. We had a party for a local night club I do some work for at my house, and had some traditional steak and chicken on the BBQ, but then we topped it off with four grilled pizzas. That’s right, and they really rocked. Heat grill to medium high, cook the dough (after covering thoroughly with olive oil) for 2-3 minutes on each side (we tried covered and uncovered and had decent results both ways. Add your pre-prepared sauce and toppings, then put it back on the grill and cover for 4 to 8 minutes to get the bottom crispy and the cheese well melted. Here’s three pies we made that were all well received...
* Bacon cheeseburger with tomato sauce, mozzarella, provolone, and goat cheddar
* Tequila-lime grilled shrimp with a cilantro pesto sauce, goat cheddar, mozzarella, and parmesan
* Grilled chicken and spinach with homemade Alfredo sauce and fresh romano
Mmmm; damn, now I’m hungry...

Aaaah Thats so mean I love this kind of food but have to sty of it (being 122 KG)...
I need to lose some weight but you are not helping me by posting...(\me walks to the frige to get something to eat...) this kind of pictures and mouth wettening stories.
I solved that problem; I now live in an apartment with two floors. So about three months ago I started a routine: Every time I feel like "snacking" I get a big drink of cold water, and if I still catch myself getting up to get something, I go up and down the stairs five times instead, and drink another cup of water. That kills any desire to eat, plus is a "disincentive" to even the thought of snacking. 20 times up and down a regualr staircase = jogging one mile.
From many years of trying, I learned it’s of no use to try to completely "forbid" certain foods. Just cut down on it! I now only allow myself "forbidden" foods three times a week, and only as part of a balanced meal. It’s fun, actually, planning my week’s three extravegances, and looking forward to them.
