I was wondering if anyone made of it a snippet or something ?
would be HOT to give clients the ability to upload large files from front end.
I’ve got it installed but don’t use it very much. It’s basically an HTTP interface to the FTP server. I installed it at one time because I didn’t want to expose the FTP service on the WAN to dictionary attacks. Since then I’ve exposed FTP on the WAN and use fail2ban to watch the FTP logs for failed login attempts and ban the offending IP.
I installed it too and it’s works sweet so far. I wish it had drag and drop ajax interface or more look like my favorite client FlashFXP, but it works fine bottom line. Just wish it was a snippet I could include in my site frontend to allow my clients to upload their files directly to me.
sweet as it would be, you still have the limitations of php upload size so i wouldn’t call it ftp client you know...
