Hi folks! This is my first post. I just installed the software and would like to know if this is possible. On the site I want to make, I want people to be able to "add local events" ie a local ball game,or church event. any idea how I would do this? Thanks for any help that you can provide.

I looked at the calendar things and they are not what I’m really looking for. What I want is a way for different users to add an event that is happening in their town. I plan on having a section for each state and all major cities. Eg: Say there is a band playing at a certain bar in Nashville,Tn. and I want folks to be able to post the event for others to see. Kind of like what this site is here: http://evento-demo.ivanribas.com/eng I guess this would be in a "form" type of thing. Any ideas?

If just the list part is what you’re after, Jot would work fine.

I’ll go look for jot. Yes, I just want other users to be able to add their own event or happening.

You should already have Jot installed; it’s more commonly used for commenting on blog pages and such, but I’ve been shown that it can be used for any kind of listing, such as FAQ or events.

It has its own PHx and chunk tpls for forms and output as well as various levels of moderation and editing.

I’ve added image upload/insertion fields and javascript drag-and-drop sorting. You can have custom fields, and order by any of the fields.
