Hello,
First I want to thank the modx team for this awesome software, I have tried drupal, joomla, e107 and other cms software and although they all have their good points and I use all of them, I will say that most of my sites are now based on modx and it is my favorite cms.
Now onto my question, I have just started thinking about using Google Web-Kit on some of my websites and was wondering if anyone has had any success with using it?
edit: I’m still planning on using modx and I’m just thinking about using GWT with modx. Sorry when I’m in research crazy mode I can’t write English properly. I’ll have to work on that haha.
Google Web Kit runs in Java...
you could stay with PHP and work with xPDO and Revo.

Yes thats the one, don’t get me wrong I still fully intend on using modx. I’m wanting to use GWT with modx; however, I’m not entirely sure on how to use it properly with modx and keep it SEO friendly.
These are my thoughts on this so far.
1.
Have it all on one page so no reloading.
(obvious this is not good for SEO)
2.
Have a template with GWT so you get the cool widgets but still have to reload pages.
(should be good for SEO, still have a traditional link structure)
3.
Basically the same as 2, but find a way to make the pages not have to reload. Still keep the traditional link structure where everything would act fine without GWT or even javascript; however, with the template make it so it can pull content from the other pages using getresources.
(this could be tricky to make SEO friendly, but it should be doable)
I’m only really working on option 3, I hope it works.
edit: actually to be honest, xPDO looks awesome, I can’t believe I never looked into using this before. Maybe this can do what I’m looking for(basically an SEO friendly AJAX site with no page reloads, it has to be possible)
