    Hello!

I tried to install MODx Revolution 2.0.0-beta-5 this afternoon. But after I successfully finished installation, MODx showed me a blank page. huh
I am using Deiban Sid, so I have newest PHP and Apache server installed.
I installed Evolution earlier, and it worked perfectly.
Could anyone tell me why Revolution doesn’t work? I appreciate your help!

Low memory_limit is the most common culprit.

        Evolution has a default template.
But if we use Revolution, we need to write the template from scratch right? Is this the reason I get a blank page?

I believe this is correct. But for starters, you can just install one from the extras. Go into System->Package Management->Download Extras. In the left hand tree select Front End Templates, and then Templates. There should be a few there that you can play with before you code your own.

Thanks! That is what I did before. But no template is showing. Can I find the template for modx website somewhere? The template for manager is good too.

You also have to create at least one resource/document. Revo beta doesn’t come with any sample data like Evo does. So, under resources->web, create a new document, put some text in it, and assign it the template you chose. Something should show up.

So when Revolution is released, we may have some internal templates, like what we have in Evolution?

For GA release, we will have different "distributions", which will have varying sample content and setups.

Until then, you can easily install a sample site by going to Sytem -> Package Management, clicking "Download Extras", "Site Packages" -> "Demo Sites" and then downloading/installing the MODx Sample Site.

Well, first we have to hit RC, which will be soon...
