can this site be made in modx ?

Hi,

I am thinking of rewriting my site.
www.tornooi.net (made in joomla with a lot of "hacks" and custom php code to generate all event pages)

I am seriously considering modx as a candidate.(never used it before)
from what I read I think modx is the way to go. BUT I need to know the cms system can handle:

*add, update,show, querry a mysqldatabase quickly (all allready coded in php)

* subdomains
I have multiple categories (will be extended to hundreds over time).
For each I would like to have a subdomain:
www.tornooi.net -> the main site
sport.tornooi.net -> subdomain
volleybal.tornooi.net -> subdomain
beachvolleybal.tornooi.net -> subdomain
...
now it is done with "www.tornooi.net/events?c=1" wich will be replaced by volleybal.tornooi.net
don’t quite know yet how I will manage that ...

* multilangual
Now the site is only in dutch (belgium and the netherlands) but I would like the new version to be in German,English and french also and who knows what languages later on.

what do you modxusers think, can modx handle a site like tornooi.net?
Main reason why I would switch from joomla to modx is the overload in joomla.
and I guess that the handling of my event database would go easier with snippets and plugins.

hope to hear from you all

djemmers,
I know that revolution version of modx can support multiple subdomains, domains, etc, which might be helpful for you.
I also know that you can get multilingual extensions for modx, but never played around in that area.
As for coding side, I think that Modx should be able to handle it - it just depends on the amount of time that you put into it. I am not that familiar with modx, only been using it for personal projects the last month or two now. I hope I helped in some way though

Good luck
