Hi,
Just wondering what does Server type option in the configuration section do.
My website has a secure connection but when I chose https it made no difference(or so I think)
Thx for your answers
I’m puzzled just the same.
I set this parameter to https in the hope that it would force SSL when logging into the manager, but it seems that the setting doesn’t do anything.
Any clarification on this setting would be appreciated.

I honestly don’t think it does anything anymore; may just have been overlooked over time.

It gets saved in the database as server_protocol. I think it used to be used in the makeUrl() function. But it didn’t allow for going from http to https and back; you only got the protocol set in the Configuration. Now the makeUrl() function takes a parameter, "scheme", that is used to determine whether to use http or https when generating a URL if it is set, and it uses the $_SERVER[’HTTPS’] setting if not.
Thx,
Do I flag this for removal in the next version or someone did it already?
Thank you for the clarification.
