I just installed the latest version of modx on my server (1.0.2). The install seemed to go well. When I try to login it doesn’t give me an error, but it just reloads the login page over and over. I have tried using incorrect usernames and passwords and it does tell me one or both are wrong, so I know I’m using the correct information. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the entire set of modx files as well as the database. I get the same problem every time.

I found in the wiki troubleshooting there is some information about this issue. It says:

The login page keeps redirecting me back to the login screen with no error
This can happen with older Revolution beta installs. To fix it, delete the following 3 system settings:

    session_name
    session_cookie_path
    session_cookie_domain

    Then delete the core/cache/config.cache.php file.

I’m not sure this is my version, but it sounds like the same issue. I’m also not sure where to find those files or settings.

I hope someone has come across this issue and can help me.

    Thanks

Maybe you’ve installed Modx Revolution which is still in beta testing and might have bugs.
Try to download Modx Evolution 1.0.2, or to open the page with a different browser

I am running 1.0.2. I also tried with 3 different browsers. Still no luck.
