Does Revo have any event listeners for content crud operations?

Both Evo and Revo has optional statistics built in, can i plug in any of my own statistics tools to actually see any stats?

Neither Evo or Revo track any stats. The events are basically the same in Revo and Evo, with the addition of a few new ones in Revo.

Ok, so i can listen to eg a save event and index the content with Lucene pretty easy as an example.

Aha smiley I always thought that the "tick to log stats" actually logged some stats...

Yep; I’ve actually done a proof of concept with Solr using the modRegistry (as a message queue for indicating the Resource was updated) and some plugins to register the updates and then update the appropriate indices in Solr.

No, this was removed early on in the project because the code caused more problems than satisfied users; the option remains as a standard way for Extras that do stats tracking can use for their own purposes.

Perfect, thats just what I’m setting up grin (with modx + php this time). Modx needs a good scalable search implementation.

I’d be interested to see what you come up with on the stats. Go for it!

I made a simple pagecounter which also serves as a bot/exploit checker. I got a bit inspired by the post http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,46858.0.html and added better support for xss, sql injection and spam- and exploitbots. What it does is checking if a user agent is a bot or not. If it is a bad bot or some bad behaviour it redirects to whatever page otherwise it records the request you make (like google analytics) and display it with charts (not implemented yet though). Ill add it somewhere on google project hosting tomorrow so anyone can try it out...
